Maxwell Boadi

Biography
Maxwell Boadi paints with a palette knife and oil paint applied thickly. His subjects are crowds: markets, stadiums and streets in Accra, full of movement. He calls his talent innate and says he likes the dance of the knife in the paint, even if oil takes long to dry.
We bought his first works in 2018. In 2021 he showed with Kobina Nyarko at C.A.R. Contemporary Art Ruhr in Essen.
