Godwin Adjei Sowah

Godwin Adjei Sowah studied at Ghanatta College of Art and Design and paints in acrylic: abstract works and scenes from villages and beaches. One week every month he teaches art at the Baobab Children Foundation, a vocational school in Cape Coast.

Our story starts with him. Around 2008 Monika Lockemann, one of our founders, organised benefit exhibitions of his work in Germany for the foundation. In 2017 he took us through the studios of Accra, the trip that led to To-Choose. In 2023 he showed his work and his students’ work in Würzburg Town Hall.
